We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computer Network Technician to join our team in Vernon, BC.

Duties

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networking equipment, and peripheral devices to ensure the smooth operation of local and wide-area networks.
  • Troubleshoot network issues, diagnose hardware and software problems, and implement effective solutions for end users.
  • Monitor network performance and system operations, coordinating access and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Perform routine system start-up and shutdown procedures while maintaining accurate operational records.
  • Test, evaluate, and implement software applications, operating systems, and security measures to ensure system integrity.
  • Conduct security checks and quality assessments to protect networks from vulnerabilities.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures for future reference.
  • Stay informed on industry advancements and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for network and system improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, web development, software engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively organize time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
