Recognized as the industry leader, McAsphalt offers the widest range of asphalt products from our 26 strategically located terminals, coast to coast, across Canada. The company's success is based on our employees' dedication to providing total customer satisfaction by supplying superior quality asphalt products combined with strong, experienced technical support.
In this role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: maintain the day-to-day operation and administrative duties associated with operation of the scale, operating the weigh scales, scale computer and software programs, data entry, and record keeping, screen and record incoming loads at the scale house, direct vehicles entering and leaving the facility. You will follow all standard operating procedures and policies established by the company.
Others main duties will include:
- Performs operating sequences to receive and exit vehicles through incoming and outgoing scales.
- Assists in checking all components of the weigh scale system to ascertain all are in working order.
- Maintains a control environment in scale house to ensure proper operation of the computerized scale system.
- Issues receipts to vehicle driver and collects tickets of raw material.
- Answers phone; records message and provides routine information.
- Uses computer MS Suite such as spreadsheets, word, calendar, email and other databases.
- Responsible of shipping out items and entering the products coming into the system.
- May perform incidental tasks, as needed.
The successful candidate should possess the following:
- A strong work ethic and ability to work in small team(s) and independently.
- A reliable method of transportation to and from work in a timely manner (limited or no public transit).
- Excellent oral and written communication paired with exceptional customer service skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Lastly, a good sense of humor will also be a great asset.
