What You'll Be Doing

Specific Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Support and lead your teammates at all times and contribute to the success of the team.
  • Responsible for assisting the day-to-day operation of Leopold's Tavern under the direction of the KM. This includes assisting in managing operations in all areas of the kitchen and back of house.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest standard in food safety.
  • Consistent and organized.
  • Determine stock needs, assist in interacting with vendors, monitor sales, and inventory management.
  • Responsible for helping manage, recruit, and oversee training all BOH employees.
  • Maintain and monitor employees' shift schedules and job performance.
  • Help supervise and communicate promotions, and train and educate staff on all promotions.
  • Help place orders with our suppliers.
  • Keep up to date on Leo's specials, practices and communication with managers
  • Delegate tasks, manage staff hours (cut times) and assist with scheduling and ordering
  • Responsible for ensuring every item served is to Leo's brand standards of quality and specification.
What We're Looking For

In addition to the specific responsibilities, here are the specific job requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of kitchen experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Minimum of one year of supervising/leadership experience in a kitchen setting.
  • Experience with ordering, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated a use of standard concepts and practices in purchasing, inventory, and supervision of up to 10 employees.
  • Lead a team, think on your feet, embrace change, and roll with the punches.
  • Maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Work well in a team and ensure a positive kitchen environment.
  • Coachable, hard working, and crazy reliable.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills and you get how important communication is to us.
  • Have a valid driver's license or reliable form of transportation.
