We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in daily food service operations. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety standards are upheld. This role is essential in providing a smooth and efficient kitchen environment, contributing to the overall dining experience for our guests. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn and a positive attitude are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals
- Support cooking activities under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Help with food handling and storage to ensure freshness and safety
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Serve food to customers or servers as needed, ensuring proper presentation and portioning
- Follow all health and safety regulations to promote a safe working environment
- Support meal preparation during busy service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock levels
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and basic cooking techniques is advantageous
- Experience in the food industry or meal preparation roles will be considered a plus
- No prior experience required; training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to develop culinary skills
