Job Summary

We are seeking a Plant Operator to join our production team. The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, ensuring smooth production processes while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs pre-operation activities on the equipment's pieces to ensure it's starting and operating appropriately.
  • Inspects the machine's parts and uses micro-meters or rules to ensure the machinery is meeting the production parameters.
  • Observing the machinery as it produces objects and, as it does, inspects the completed objects.
  • Assisting with the maintenance, to repair, and troubleshooting the equipment.
  • Operates tools to aid in the process of manufacturing.
  • Loading and unloading input and finished goods
  • Performs periodic equipment checks and solves detected problems.
  • Collaborates with others to ensure equipment works properly.
  • Observes and follows the company's safety regulations and rules.
  • Recording production information for auditing and future production needs.

Qualifications

  • WHMIS Certification (preferred).
  • Forklift license (preferred).
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial maintenance is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Shift Details

  • Rotating shifts (including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends).
  • Flexibility is required to support production needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week

Experience:

  • food manufacturing: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
