How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Air Liquide Canada is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Regional Plant Coordinator to join our dynamic team at our industrial facility. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant by providing comprehensive administrative and operational support. The Plant Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks, including managing administrative functions, processing and filing Management of Change (MOC) documentation, validating essential plant records, and handling purchase orders. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional computer skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong analytical mindset. Administrative Support:

  • Serve as a central point of contact for plant-related administrative needs.

  • Manage schedules, coordinate meetings, and prepare meeting materials and minutes.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including mail and email correspondence.

  • Maintain and organize general office and plant-related files, both physical and digital.

  • Support new hire onboarding by preparing necessary documents and coordinating logistics.

Management of Change (MOC) Filing:

  • Assist in the administration of the site's MOC process.

  • Accurately file, track, and maintain all MOC documentation from initiation to closure.

  • Ensure MOC records are complete, properly signed, and compliant with company and regulatory standards.

  • Communicate with engineering and operations personnel to follow up on pending MOC items.

Documentation Validation & Control:

  • Support the document control system by validating, filing, and retrieving critical plant documentation.

  • Assist in reviews and updates of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety documents, and technical drawings (e.g., P&IDs).

  • Ensure all documentation is current, accurate, and readily accessible to authorized personnel.

  • Maintain logs and records for document check-in/check-out and revision history.

Purchase Order (PO) Management:

  • Create, process, and track purchase orders for plant materials, services, and supplies using the company's ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

  • Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, confirm pricing, and ensure timely delivery.

  • Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and delivery receipts, resolving any discrepancies.

  • Maintain procurement records and assist with inventory tracking for key supplies.

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.

  • 2-4 years of experience in an administrative, project coordinator, or support role

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) are highly desirable.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Direct experience working within a chemical plant, refinery, or heavy manufacturing facility.

  • Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and procedures.

  • Specific experience with Management of Change (MOC) processes and documentation.

  • Experience with technical documentation such as P&IDs, equipment manuals, or SOPs.
