JOB POSTING – Customer Service Representative
Connect Telecom is a privately owned company located in Kitchener, Ontario. We supply the Canadian Telecommunications industry with a wide range of products and solutions to support their infrastructures. We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail oriented Customer Service Representative. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and credible professional, and an integral part of our sales and business development team. This is a permanent position that gives opportunity for advancement and growth.
Duties & Responsibilities·
- Handle customer communications, both written and verbal with courtesy, confidence, accuracy, and efficiency
- Answer requests promptly, and professionally, listen attentively to the customers, understand and fulfill their needs
- Process orders and maintain related communication with sales, operations, and finance to ensure customer requirements are met
- Take necessary action to resolve customer service issues in a timely manner and follow-up and verify commitments are met afterwards
- Assemble information, obtain approvals, and complete the processing of returns and credits
- Contact customers regarding new products, promotions and follow up of quotes issued
- Proactively suggests associated and/or alternate products as needed
- Assist with marketing campaigns such as trade shows, webinars, website visits and referral inquiries
- Create, modify and manage datasheets, catalogues and other marketing materials
- Update and maintain contact database
- Ad hoc assignments as required

Requirements:
- Relevant customer service experience
- Fully fluent in English (oral and written)
- An ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
- Strong customer focus with first-rate communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly accurate and detail oriented
- Effective problem identification and resolution skills
- Quick learner and adaptable to change
- Reliability in attendance
- Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office, with strong experience in Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience in the Telecommunications/Fiber Optic Industry preferred
- Experience in business development would be an asset
- Bilingual in French would be an asset
This position is full time (Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm) with a 1-hour lunch break.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
