We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Customer Service Representative within our Northfield Metal Products team** **to help support our Work Furniture business. In our Furniture Components business, we design, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of components and finished products that enhance comfort, motion, and style in the work and home furniture industry. From surface-critical bent tube assemblies and molded plywood components to chair mechanisms, bases, arms, seats, and backs, our Furniture Components business brings diverse world-class manufacturing capabilities together in the production and assembly of high-quality products. If you join our team, your work will ensure people across the world have a little more comfort in their lives.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will have the opportunity to support field sales, process inquires from customers and potential customers. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by supporting technical and cost departments in expediting price information and samples. The team you will be working with has a long tenure and values collaboration

**So, what will you be doing as a Customer Service Representative?**
- Liaison between customers and plant foremen supervisors and management
- Communicate with customers while representing the company to other organizations
- Maintaining and issuing credits to customers
- Fill out proper paperwork
- Maintain customer product information files
- Correspondence duties regarding orders such as invoices, credits and letters
- Keep records of complaints, recording details of inquiries or comments and actions taken
- Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers problems
- Handling of confidential information
- Writing orders for production

**To be successful in this role, you’ll need**:

- Strong attendance record
- Attention to detail
- Relevant experience in sales and accounting
- 6 months to a year of experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually but be a team player
- Proficient in Microsoft office, work, excel and outlook
