Position Summary

The Global Product Manager is responsible for developing a deep understanding of our customers, their challenges, and the ways Trojan Technologies can deliver measurable value. This role builds strong, cross-functional relationships to foster trust, engagement, and organizational alignment. Key responsibilities include managing the full business lifecycle of the product portfolio — encompassing both capital and recurring revenue streams — and defining a product strategy that addresses high-value customer problems while enabling sustainable competitive differentiation. The Global Product Manager will also apply VES fundamentals and tools to support analytical thinking, standard work, and continuous improvement.

This position reports to the Global Director of Product Management and is based onsite in either Guelph or London, ON.

Accountabilities

  • Leverage primary research tools and voice-of-customer to uncover unmet customer needs and understand their implications for your product line.

  • Form and maintain trustworthy relationships, establishing followership across the organization to lead change and gain buy-in for new products and enhancements.

  • Understand and apply Innovation and Commercial Tools such as persona development, behavioral segmentation, value propositions and pricing strategies to drive profitable growth across your portfolio.

  • Lead Launch Excellence process to ensure successful launch and adoption of new products, accountable for early-life cycle bookings, revenue and margin achievement.

  • Lead or participate in annual Product Portfolio Analysis reviews and prioritize opportunities to enhance customer value and drive growth that optimize the allocation of resources across the portfolio.

  • Develop communication tools and training material, including presentations and competitor assessments, to enable commercial teams to drive growth.

  • Work with Strategic Marketing Managers to understand and uncover valuable problems and underserved markets and applications.

  • Establishes and maintains pricing strategy for assigned products to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Develop and maintain a 3-year product roadmap of enhancements, cost savings opportunities and compliance for existing product portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sciences or business or MBA or equivalent preferred.

  • Minimum 6+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in Product Management or in a relevant marketing or engineering role. Strong exposure to the Trades-to-Consumer or Home-Service-Professional market is highly valued.

  • Proven experience within a manufacturing company or industrial environment.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

  • Strong ability to develop meaningful relationships, instill trust and lead through influence.

  • Demonstrated business acumen and financial analysis ability.

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including domestic and international travel to the United States.
