Senior Data and Reporting Analyst – Home Financing Analytics

Location:
Hybrid (Toronto, Ontario) – 2 days in office per week (Mon/Wed preferred)

Duration:
12 months (with possibility of extension)

Role Overview:

We are seeking a
Senior Data and Reporting Analyst
to consult on analytical solutions that enable
data-driven decision-making
for the Home Financing line of business. This role involves designing and implementing
analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions
, ensuring alignment between business needs and data strategies, and promoting a culture of analytics-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders on data and analytics solutions.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of
    analytic solutions, dashboards, and reports
    .
  • Analyze data to identify trends, emerging issues, and actionable insights.
  • Structure and assemble data across multiple dimensions (e.g., demographics, products, transactions).
  • Cleanse, manipulate, and transform data for model training and validation.
  • Automate validation tests and reporting processes for efficiency.
  • Validate and test models for performance and compliance.
  • Promote
    reporting automation
    and
    self-service analytics
    .
  • Integrate data from multiple sources for streamlined reporting and enhanced analysis.
  • Build effective visualizations to communicate insights to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver strategic analytics initiatives.
  • Document and maintain operational procedures for analytics and reporting processes.
  • Provide training and support for reporting tools and self-service analytics.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience
    in data analytics and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency in
    SQL
    and
    SAS
    (certification preferred).
  • Experience in
    data preparation, cleansing, and statistical analysis
    .
  • Knowledge of
    A/B testing
    and measurement frameworks.
  • Expertise in
    data visualization and storytelling
    .
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in
    home financing, mortgages, HELOCs
    , or banking analytics.
  • Familiarity with
    RESL analytics
    .
  • Tools:
    Python, R, Power BI, PowerPoint
    .
  • Previous experience leading projects.
