Job Description: Data Analyst – Data Governance (Toronto, ON, Canada)
We are seeking a skilled
Data Analyst with strong Data Governance experience
to support enterprise data quality, compliance, and stewardship initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support Data Governance framework, policies, and standards across the organization.
- Perform data profiling, quality checks, and root-cause analysis for data issues.
- Maintain and update data dictionaries, metadata, and lineage documentation.
- Collaborate with business owners to define data rules, stewardship needs, and quality metrics.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in implementing MDM, data quality tools, and governance workflows.
- Generate reports and dashboards to track data quality KPIs.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of experience as a Data Analyst with exposure to Data Governance.
- Strong knowledge of data quality, metadata management, and governance principles.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data profiling tools.
- Familiarity with Collibra, Informatica DQ, Alation, or similar tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
