We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the daily production of our baked goods, contributing to product quality, kitchen efficiency, and overall customer satisfaction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and takes pride in producing excellent baked products.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare wraps, pastries, and other specialty items to meet quality and presentation standards.
- Oversee the pastry and finger foods section, ensuring timely preparation and consistent presentation to meet service demands.
- Collaborate with and provide support to the head baker and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean and compliant kitchen environment.
Experience:.
- Proven experience working in a bakery or pastry environment.
- Knowledge of pastry and baking techniques, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Extended periods of standing and walking during assigned work hours
- Continuous and repetitive use of hands for the preparation and handling of products
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, and bending as required to perform job duties
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 22.5 kg (50 lbs.) and frequently lift up to 8.9 kg (20 lbs.)
