**PASTRY COOK**

Reports to: Pastry Chef

Hourly position

Full-time; Part-time; Seasonal

Pay range:17-19.50

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Night shift

Job Duties:

- Ensure a proper set-up of assigned station, including but not limited to, mise en place, sufficient equipment and sanitation products.
- Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation.
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes.
- Working cohesively with corresponding CDP to ensure all tasks are completed to set standards.
- Clearly communicating all product disruptions, including but not limited to, improperly prepped items, spoiled product, delays in execution and equipment issues.

Additional Duties:

- Recording food temperature.
- Recording waste levels.
- Restoring cleanliness of cooking areas at crossover and close.
- Ensuring readiness at designated start time.

**Experience**:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience or related training in pastry
- Experience working baking, decorating and plating pastry
- Developed knife skills
- Developed food preparation skills
- Basic sauces and dressing knowledge and sandwich assembly skills
- Able to read, understand and follow recipes
- Can work at speed under pressure in an organized manner
- Ability to work with or without supervision

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Part-time hours: 25-40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.50 per hour
