Job Overview

We are seeking a licensed, skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a body shop environment and possess strong autobody aptitude. This role involves repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The Auto Body Technician will work with various tools and equipment to perform repairs efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Repair and replace damaged vehicle panels, frames, and other body components using hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques
  • Assess vehicle damage to determine the best repair approach and estimate parts and labor requirements
  • Perform sanding, grinding, welding, and painting to restore vehicles to factory standards
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify underlying mechanical issues related to body damage
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Collaborate with team members to complete repairs within designated timeframes
  • Follow all safety protocols and industry standards during repair processes

Qualifications

  • Previous body shop experience is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
  • Experience with automotive painting, sanding, welding, or bodywork is a plus
  • Mechanic experience or background in automotive repair is advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
