As a Representative-Mobile Sales, your primary responsibility is to transport and operate a mobile retail unit (shoemobile) to various locations, bringing products and services directly to customers. You will play a crucial role in promoting and selling merchandise from the mobile truck, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the retail business. Please note there is also a percentage of commission component based off sales volume as well as per diem allowances. Please note, some overnight travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and Operating:
  • Safely operate and drive the mobile retail truck to designated locations, adhering to traffic rules and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and functionality.
  • Set up and operate the mobile retail unit, including any necessary displays or equipment.
  • Customer Service:
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Provide information about products, promotions, and services offered from the mobile retail unit.
  • Answer customer inquiries and address concerns effectively.
  • Sales and Marketing:
  • Actively engage in sales activities, promoting products and driving sales to achieve targets.
  • Implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase foot traffic to the mobile retail unit.
  • Keep track of inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Cash Handling:
  • Process customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods responsibly.
  • Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance on the mobile retail unit, ensuring it is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Record Keeping:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and any customer feedback.
  • Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and other relevant metrics.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and changes that may impact mobile retail operations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience in driving commercial vehicles, especially mobile retail units, is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.
  • Physical fitness for tasks such as setting up displays and lifting merchandise.
  • Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
