Job Overview

As a Representative-Mobile Sales, your primary responsibility is to transport and operate a mobile retail unit (shoemobile) to various locations, bringing products and services directly to customers. You will play a crucial role in promoting and selling merchandise from the mobile truck, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the retail business. Please note there is also a percentage of commission component based off sales volume as well as per diem allowances. Please note, some overnight travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

· Driving and Operating:

· Safely operate and drive the mobile retail truck to designated locations, adhering to traffic rules and regulations.

· Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and functionality.

· Set up and operate the mobile retail unit, including any necessary displays or equipment.

· Customer Service:

· Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.

· Provide information about products, promotions, and services offered from the mobile retail unit.

· Answer customer inquiries and address concerns effectively.

· Sales and Marketing:

· Actively engage in sales activities, promoting products and driving sales to achieve targets.

· Implement marketing strategies to attract customers and increase foot traffic to the mobile retail unit.

· Keep track of inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to the appropriate personnel.

· Cash Handling:

· Process customer transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems.

· Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods responsibly.

· Maintenance:

· Perform routine maintenance on the mobile retail unit, ensuring it is clean, organized, and visually appealing.

· Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly.

· Record Keeping:

· Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, inventory levels, and any customer feedback.

· Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and other relevant metrics.

· Compliance:

· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

· Keep abreast of industry trends and changes that may impact mobile retail operations.

Qualifications:

· Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.

· Previous experience in driving commercial vehicles, especially mobile retail units, is a plus.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.

· Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management.

· Physical fitness for tasks such as setting up displays and lifting merchandise.

· Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
