The Role

We are currently seeking a By-Hand B-Pressure Welder to join our fabrication shop located just northeast of Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Day and Night Shifts available.

Please note: This role is strictly for By-Hand B-Pressure Welders. Rig Welders will not be considered for this position.

Compensation/Benefits

Competitive wage with excellent hourly compensationOvertime after 8 hours per day.6% vacation pay and  4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.Benefits after 90 days of employment (50% employer paid) - vision, health, dental, paramedicals, travelLong term disability, AD&D, life insurance, dependent life insuranceWeekly pay

Responsibilities/Duties

Perform by-hand B-Pressure welding Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsAssist supervisors and co-workers with welding-related tasks as requiredGrind, cut, drill, and prep materials for weldingMaintain welding equipment and tools in safe working conditionEnsure quality and accuracy of welds to meet industry standardsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentFollow company safety procedures and best practicesOther duties as assigned

Key Skills/Competencies

Strong knowledge of B-Pressure welding techniques (by-hand)Reliable with a strong work ethicExcellent attention to detail with a focus on qualityAble to work independently and within a team environmentFlexible and adaptable to shop or field work as requiredMotivated, safety-conscious, and eager to learn and growStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Performs well under pressure and meets deadlines

Experience/Education/Qualifications

Valid Journeyman Welder Certification with B-Pressure endorsementMust have prior by-hand B-Pressure welding experiencePrevious experience in fabrication shop and/or field workCSTS 2020 Fundamentals (including WHMIS 2015)May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test for certain sitesMust have or be willing to obtain necessary site-specific safety tickets and orientationsClass 5 driver's license with reliable transportationMust be eligible to work in Canada
