Full Job Description

Guest services and order management

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly and assist with seating.
  • Ensure Buffet is set up and ready to go
  • Replenished always with no delays
  • Coordinate with Front Desk Staff
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns professionally, referring to management if necessary.
  • Restock food, drinks, and other supplies like napkins and plasticware.
  • Prepare and brew fresh coffee as needed.
  • Set up and break down breakfast buffets.

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Clear tables of used dishes and place settings after guests leave.
  • Bus and clean tables, including wiping them down and straightening chairs.
  • Perform general cleaning duties in the dining area, service stations, and kitchen.
  • Empty trash receptacles and maintain general cleanliness of the breakfast area.
  • Clean equipment and store it properly at the end of the shift.

Other responsibilities

  • Communicate any food allergies or special dietary needs to the kitchen staff.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to provide a positive guest experience

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification is a must and have on hand.
  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Qualifications / Knowledge/ Education/ Experience : Physical Requirements
  • Experience in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Ability to stand during the entire shift.
  • Long hours are sometimes required.
  • Must have work authorization for Canada
  • Mental Requirements:
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must maintain composure under pressure
