What You Will Do?

Reporting to the Manager, Business and Performance, you will provide engineering and maintenance expertise to support the TTC's oversight of non-life cycle maintenance activities for Line 5 and Line 6.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing maintenance trends to understand the relationship between operational performance and maintenance outcomes.
  • Supporting Finance by evaluating the costs associated with maintenance activities, ensuring alignment with established standards for infrastructure, systems, and vehicles across Line 5, Line 6, and future LRT programs.
  • Collaborating with Metrolinx, the asset owner and maintenance contract holder, to support their Maintenance Assurance Program where applicable.
  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to review and verify planned maintenance activities, including major shutdowns, performed work, and reimbursable costs.
  • Ensuring transparency between the Operator and Maintainer, especially given the complexity of contractual relationships, to maintain operational efficiency and accountability.
  • Pomoting a respectful and inclusive work environment, free from discrimination and harassment, and supporting TTC's commitments under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC), the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and related policies.
  • Participating in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program, helping to foster a positive experience for both employees and customers.

What Qualifications Do You Bring?

  • A completed University Degree in Engineering or a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • Previous experience in maintenance-based roles within the public transit or transportation industries.
  • Ability to comprehend drawings would be an asset
  • Ability to interpret commercial and contractual documents would be an asset
  • Proficient in the use of computer software/applications related to the work (Excel, Word, Outlook, Focus, Success Factors SAP, etc.)
