As we prepare to scale across Canada, we are looking for a Business Development - Operations Manager to build and manage operations as we grow and lead our various teams.

Job Overview:We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development / Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of City Helpers Inc. and drive our expansion efforts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing partnership, managing teams, improving business processes, and leading a company toward rapid growth on a national and international scale. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who can manage the day-to-day operations while also focusing on the bigger picture of scaling and developing the business.
As the company reaches key milestones, the Business Development person will transition to Operations Manager will have the opportunity to earn additional equity, salary increases, and performance-based bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Management: Oversee the daily operations of City Helpers Inc, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and scalability.
- Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with key business partners and stakeholders to drive growth and increase market reach.
- Team Leadership: Manage, engage and disengage and support cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, customer support, and technical development.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to grow the business from local to national and international markets.
- Process Improvement: Optimize and streamline business processes to improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Budget Management: Manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency while achieving business growth objectives.
- Market Expansion: Lead efforts to expand City Helpers Inc. into new markets by identifying growth opportunities and executing strategies for international expansion.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly track performance to ensure targets are met.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure business operations comply with relevant regulations and manage potential risks proactively.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Customer Acquisition: Grow the customer base by a specified percentage each quarter, contributing to overall business growth.
- Revenue Growth: Increase monthly revenue, measured by ad sales, services rendered, and subscription fees.
- Operational Efficiency: Reduce operational costs by optimizing processes while maintaining or improving service quality.
- Customer Retention: Maintain a customer satisfaction rate above 90%, with a target of increasing customer retention by X% per year.
- Market Expansion: Successfully launch City Helpers in new markets within the first 12 months, both nationally and internationally.
- Partnership Development: Secure partnerships with new businesses per quarter to support growth objectives.
- Team Performance: Ensure that team members hit individual and departmental targets, with a team satisfaction rating of over 85%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably within a tech-driven or online platform environment.
- Demonstrated experience developing partnerships and scaling a business from a local to a national or international level.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
- Experience with process improvement, business optimization, and performance tracking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically while managing daily operations.
- Proven track record of achieving business growth and profitability.
