Join our logistics team at our brand-new electronics manufacturing facility located in Bristol Circle, Oakville.

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday 5:00pm-1:30am position with nearby public transportation and onsite parking, extended health benefits and retirement group savings plan. Reporting to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager, you will frequently communicate feedback and suggestions to create an environment of continuous improvement.

Material Handler is an integral part of our Logistics team and is key to ensuring items are moved and delivered to the production area, packed and labeled for shipment. You will conduct physical inventories for warehouse inventory accuracy, quantity verification, and damage reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Completing Manufacturing orders (Work Orders) and delivering them to the Production Assembly area; in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity. Material Handler is responsible for the completeness and correctness and timely delivery of all orders filled.
  • Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is prepared.
  • Prepare various types of merchandise for Production Assembly in all buildings.
  • Carry or transport orders to specified locations or delivery products with material handling equipment.
  • Repack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary.
  • Report quality variances, damage, missing or suspect parts.
  • Perform inventory sequencing functions which include selecting, checking, re-packaging and possible kitting of parts for delivery to production line.
  • Inbound functions include support receiving, placement and put away of product. Inventory Control includes cycle counts, inventory moves and accountability for all warehouse inventory accuracy. This includes completing all transactions in the ERP system. Maintain Accuracy and productivity standards.
  • Ensure in process and products are transferred accurately and free of damage.
  • Operate forklift/Scissor lift in performance of completing duties, when required.
  • On a required basis, inspect and perform minor maintenance on the equipment. Must also have some familiarity with Scanning and Printing systems (bar code and internal labels).
  • Conduct physical inventories as required. I.e. cycle counts, quantity verifications, report damage.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Comply with OSHA Standards and MSDS Requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required or necessary to effectively carry out the responsibilities.

Qualifications & Abilities Requirements:

  • High School diploma
  • 2+ years of prior experience working in a warehouse setting
  • Forklift/scissor license a plus
  • Experience with scanning and printing systems
  • Highly motivated, self-starter and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid team player
  • Able to stand all day and perform bending, crouching and kneeling
  • Able to move packages weighing up to 40lb
