**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Material Handler is responsible for supporting production. Responsibilities include moving raw material and finished products throughout the facility, prepping steel coils at the presses, processing afterhours shipping and receiving. Full safety, quality and production training will be provided.

**SHIFT AVAILABLE**
- **Afternoon Shift**: 3:15pm to 1:45am Monday to Thursday (10-Hour Shift)

**SPECIFIC DUTIES**
- Safe operation of Forklift truck (Propane)
- Safe operation of overhead crane (occasionally)
- Ensure raw material required for production is moved to the presses prior to die set up, (steel coils)
- Ensure that press operators have enough raw material, and that finished WIP is moved out of the press area in a timely manner
- Move production tools from the tooling storage area to the presses
- Ensure production fall-off scrap is dumped in the proper containers - separating the steel
- Move completed bins to the inspection areas and replace with empty bins to the press area
- Assist Production with cleaning
- Assist Shipping/Receiving by loading/unloading trucks and correct labelling

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- 2 or more years experience in material handling and metal stamping production support
- 2 or more years experience with Shipping and Receiving
- Familiar with RF scanning and processing shipping/receiving with a computer
- Automotive metal stamping / manufacturing production experience is an asset
- Familiarity with Quality Documentation / ISO9001 / TS16949
- Valid Lift Truck Training is an asset but not required
- Valid Overhead Crane Training is an asset but not required

**COMPENSATION and BENEFITS**
- Starting from $22.00 per hour
