We are seeking a Law Clerk to join our team. This role involves managing legal actions and client relationships, Court processes and filings, and assisting team members in providing essential support to individuals and families across Canada who are facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. If you have strong interpersonal skills and a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

  • Manage Legal Actions and Court Procedures: Assist the team in drafting and filing court documents. Oversee deadlines and key dates related to court proceedings.
  • Manage routine correspondence with counsel and clients.
  • Support clients: Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners who have suffered a residential loss.
  • Assist legal team: Provide support on legal files, including research and case management.
  • Administrative tasks: Organize case files, prepare reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Manage client intake: Conduct interviews, gather essential information, and ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Coordinate with vendors: Communicate with third parties, including contractors, insurers, and service providers.

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
  • 2+ years of experience as a law clerk or in a role involving client management and case coordination.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other technology tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations is an asset.
