Job Overview:

We are seeking an Accountant to join a progressive, privately owned group of companies with diverse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who has recently completed, or is nearing completion of, their CPA designation and is looking to build a long-term career. The successful candidate will be eager to grow with the organization and take advantage of ongoing learning, development, and advancement opportunities.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, well organized, and able to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment, including providing support for customer inquiries and incoming phone calls when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform full-cycle accounting through to trial balance
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Complete bank reconciliations
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Process a variety of daily sales reports
  • Prepare and file government remittances
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Assist with answering incoming phone calls
  • Provide support to customers as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in an intermediate accounting role
  • Degree or diploma with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • Completion of, or near completion of, CPA designation
  • Strong understanding of ASPE and/or GAAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English language
  • Must have a vehicle to drive to/from work (limited public transit in our area)
  • ONLY apply if you are legally allowed to work in Canada

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00-$67,000.00 per year
