BMAC Technologies and Consulting is a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm specializing in commercial construction projects. We are currently seeking a qualified individual or firm to provide BIM/Detailing Services for HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems for a new commercial construction project.

Job Objective

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the modeling, coordination, and production of shop drawings based on project specifications, construction documents, and coordination updates.

Key Responsibilities1. BIM Modeling and Documentation

  • Develop detailed 3D BIM models in Autodesk Revit for HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems.
  • Ensure models strictly follow:
  • Client-provided construction documents and project manual
  • Issued addenda and coordination updates
  • BIM Execution Plan requirements

  • Deliver accurate, coordinated, and fully compliant models.

  • Coordination and Clash Resolution

  • Participate in virtual coordination meetings with general contractors and project stakeholders.

  • Perform clash detection and resolve issues with architectural, structural, and other trades.

  • Incorporate feedback and maintain a log of model updates and changes.

  • Shop Drawing Preparation

  • Produce construction-ready shop drawings, including:

  • Sleeve and penetration layouts
  • Hanger locations and equipment positioning
  • Generate and provide layout point files (CSV or TXT) for use with total station tools (e.g., Trimble).

Tools & Standards

  • Software: Autodesk Revit (required), AutoCAD (as needed), Navisworks
  • Standards: BIM Execution Plan, project specifications, and industry codes
  • Deliverables: Native Revit files (.rvt), AutoCAD (.dwg), PDF sets, and layout point files )

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM modeling for mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
  • Proven expertise in Autodesk Revit and familiarity with construction coordination workflows
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Reliable and capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative project environment

Additional pay:

Bonus pay
