**BMAC** Technologies and Consulting is a dynamic and growing engineering consulting firm specializing in commercial construction projects. We are currently seeking a highly qualified **BIM Leader** to oversee and manage BIM/Detailing Services for HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems on a new commercial construction project.
The BIM Leader will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of BIM modeling and shop drawing production, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and quality standards. This leadership role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to coordination, and the ability to manage BIM teams or external contributors.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. BIM Leadership and Model Management
- Lead the development of detailed 3D BIM models in Autodesk Revit for HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure all modeling work adheres to:
- Construction documents and project specifications
- Issued addenda and coordination updates
- BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and industry standards
- Supervise the modeling team or external partners to ensure quality and consistency across all deliverables.
2. Coordination and Clash Resolution
- Represent BMAC in coordination meetings with general contractors and other project stakeholders.
- Oversee clash detection using Navisworks and direct the resolution process with architectural, structural, and other disciplines.
- Maintain a comprehensive log of model updates, issues, and resolutions, and ensure timely incorporation of feedback.
3. Shop Drawing Oversight and Delivery
- Manage the production and review of shop drawings, ensuring they are construction-ready.
- Oversee the development of:
- Sleeve and penetration layouts
- Hanger locations and equipment positioning
- Layout point files (CSV/TXT) for total station tools (e.g., Trimble)
- Ensure final drawing sets meet quality standards and project deadlines.
**Tools & Standards**
- Software: Autodesk Revit (required), AutoCAD (as needed), Navisworks
- Standards: BIM Execution Plan, project specifications, and relevant mechanical and plumbing codes
- Deliverables: Native Revit (.rvt), AutoCAD (.dwg), PDF sets, and point layout files (.csv/.txt)
**Qualifications**
- Minimum 4 years of experience in BIM coordination and modeling for mechanical systems
- Proven leadership experience in managing BIM teams or overseeing subcontracted BIM services
- Deep expertise in Autodesk Revit and Navisworks for mechanical modeling and clash detection
- Strong understanding of construction coordination workflows and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and ensure project milestones are met
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
