Job DescriptionSenior BIM Specialist
Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid)
We're looking for a Senior BIM Specialist who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and precision.
What You'll Do:
Lead BIM Excellence: Coordinate BIM requirements across Architecture, MEP, Data, Structure, and Asset Management disciplines.
Drive Standards & Governance: Implement processes and governance for BIM across the Canada Region.
Facilitate Collaboration: Organize and lead dynamic BIM coordination workshops.
Innovate with Technology: Implement model templates for structural, architectural, and MEP systems; oversee laser scanning of existing spaces when needed.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
University degree plus six (6) years of experience with technical construction drawings/documents.
OR College diploma with additional relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as a BIM Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.
Expertise with enterprise-grade systems (Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint).
Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit; familiarity with CADD and GIS tools.
Strong understanding of LOD/LOIN, shared coordinates, and classification systems.
Proven ability to lead BEPs and coordination meetings on complex projects.
Advanced understanding of BIM standards and content libraries aligned with ISO 19650 principles.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to lead workshops for large groups.
