Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of commercial spaces, supporting overall facility operations. Prior experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to high standards of cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and common areas according to established standards
  • Use cleaning equipment and supplies effectively and safely
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within scheduled timeframes
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
  • Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleaning tasks as needed
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when supplies need replenishing

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures is advantageous
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as required

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 36 months

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
