Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
  • Assist in cooking and plating dishes according to restaurant standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and storage areas.
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred.
  • Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food service operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
