Artie's is a small business in Hamilton, ON L8P 4A9. We are professional, and innovative team.

We are looking to add a passionate individual to join our team of baker's as our company continues to grow. While professional baking experience is an asset, we are willing to train other hospitality professionals who are eager to learn a new skill. Most importantly, we are looking for effective communicators who are self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and already know how to operate in a professional kitchen.

Must be available to work early morning shifts ranging from : 4:30 am-7:00am start times.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift up to 30kgs (flour and dough)

  • Previous baking experience is an asset.

-2 years professional kitchen experience minimum

  • Knowledge of bread (yeasted and sourdough), desserts, and pastry.

  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately

  • Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, loaves, and cookies

  • Follow recipes and ensure the quality and consistency of products

  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines in the kitchen

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules

  • Monitor inventory levels and order baking supplies as needed

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
