About Us:

Poppies bagel company is a new, vibrant bakery dedicated to serving our community with the freshest, most delicious bagels and coffees. We pride ourselves on using high-quality ingredients and traditional baking techniques to create products that our customers love. As we prepare to roll into the winter, we are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team.

Position: Baker

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bagels and other baked goods according to our recipes and quality standards.
  • Mix, knead, shape, and bake dough with precision and consistency.
  • Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product appearance to ensure high-quality results.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment.
  • Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Head Baker and other team members to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Baker, preferably with a focus on bagels or similar baked goods.
  • Strong understanding of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to work early morning shifts to prepare fresh products for the day.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
