Port Lambton ON, Canada Perkin Mechanical Inc. Full time $27,000 - $38,000 per year

Perkin Mechanical is a locally owned heavy equipment and agricultural machinery repair service. We have a job opening for an experienced technician to perform repairs and maintenance on various equipment. Looking for someone with experience in engine, hydraulic, electrical repairs and troubleshooting.

Requirements:

  • Be a team player and customer service focused
  • Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic repairs
  • Proficient knowledge of farm equipment
  • Computer diagnostics
  • Your own set of basic mechanic tools

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnostics and repair of farm equipment

  • Allocating time and parts to service orders

  • Agricultural Equipment Service Technician License (preferred)

  • Willingness to learn basic software applications

  • Must be able to communicate fluently with other employees as well as customers
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Be able to work extended hours 'in season' and provide additional relief coverage as required
  • Mechanical and Technical aptitude and/or experience
  • Must hold a valid Ontario driver's license
  • Experience with agricultural equipment would be an asset

Essential Duties, Responsibility, and Expectations:

  • Maintain clean, professional appearance at all times.
  • Reliable and maintains excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Able to self-motivate in a fast pace, multi-tasking environment
  • Conduct general house keeping duties within facility and assist with warehouse maintenance as required
  • Complete all duties assigned by Supervisor

Experience:

  • Mechanic: 1 year (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $27.00-$34.00 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Overtime pay

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekend availability

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $26.00-$38.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Port Lambton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • mechanical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Journeyman (preferred)
  • Trade Certificate (preferred)
