Heavy Equipment Repair Technician

Open Position: 1 new vacancy

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with the possibility of on-call

Salary: Up to $40.00/ hour

About the Role

Willowlee Sod Farms is looking for a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment Repair Technician to maintain and repair our fleet of specialized sod farming machinery. If you have a strong mechanical background and enjoy working in an agricultural environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose and repair construction as well as farm equipment such as: Sod Harvesters, Tractors, Mowers, Excavators, skid steers etc.

· Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance.

· Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

· Maintain detailed service records and communicate repair needs effectively.

· Work independently and collaboratively with farm operators and suppliers.

Qualifications

· Experience in heavy equipment repair.

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.

· Valid driver's license (Class G or higher); DZ license is an asset.

· Certification in heavy equipment or agricultural mechanics is an asset.

· Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
