Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including Loaders, excavators, stacker conveyors, sweepers and farm equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment is operating efficiently.

Duties

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including including Loaders, excavators, stacker conveyors, sweepers and farm equipment.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform mechanical repairs and assembly tasks.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed to repair or fabricate parts.
  • Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes after repairs are completed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and parts used.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements

  • Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment; dealership experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment, HVAC systems, electrical systems, hydraulic and air systems
  • Familiarity with operating heavy machinery safely and effectively.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required for maintenance tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read schematics and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective customer service interactions.

Pay: $30.34-$45.00 per hour
