The
Specialist, Quality Assurance (QA)
is responsible for conducting quality audits across internal production and supporting processes, as well as supplier operations. This role focuses on evaluating and improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of organizational processes while maintaining an audit-ready state for annual ISO assessments.

The Specialist will provide auditing expertise and guidance to internal teams to ensure alignment with
ISO 9001:2015
requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate process risks through audits and contribute to the creation of the annual internal audit plan.
  • Perform regular and systematic audits according to the established schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, quality management systems (QMS), and regulatory requirements by identifying non-conformances and areas of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to resolve non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Monitor and verify the effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct follow-up audits to confirm resolution and process improvements.
  • Partner with production teams, suppliers, and other departments to understand workflows and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Provide guidance and training on quality standards, best practices, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Promote a collaborative, proactive approach to quality assurance and problem-solving.
  • Drive operational excellence through quality improvement tools and techniques (e.g., Gemba walks).
  • Coordinate and deliver quality awareness training for production and support personnel.
  • Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with
    ISO 9001:2015
    requirements.
  • Encourage the use of internal quality data and performance metrics to improve production outcomes.
  • Support cross-departmental quality initiatives and perform additional duties as required.

Education and Experience

  • Technical diploma or degree in a relevant field.
  • Certified Quality Auditor designation preferred.
  • Experience in auditing internal processes, suppliers, and management systems based on
    ISO 9001:2015
    .
  • Demonstrated experience in manufacturing, production, or process improvement environments.
  • Experience in heavy industry, repair, or new construction environments considered an asset.

Skills and Competencies

  • In-depth knowledge of

    standards and audit requirements.
