Your Role:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, correctness, and performance of our software solutions. You will work closely with development and business teams to validate that delivered systems meet functional requirements, technical standards, and user expectations.

Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will directly contribute to the success of complex, real-world systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Plan & Design Quality Tests

  • Develop test plans and detailed test cases for the functional areas of our projects, in alignment with Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS).

  • Ensure test coverage across business, functional, and technical requirements.

Execute Testing Across Phases

  • Execute tests throughout the software lifecycle, including:

    • Test preparation and environment readiness

    • Integration Testing

    • Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

  • Validate system behavior across different platforms and configurations.

Defect Tracking & Resolution

  • Identify, document, and report defects clearly and accurately.

  • Follow up on defects through to complete resolution, working closely with development teams.

  • Re-test fixes and verify that issues are fully resolved.

Collaborate With Delivery Teams

  • Work closely with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify expected behavior and ensure high-quality outcomes.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and documentation.

What You'll Bring

Education

  • A College Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.

Professional Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in software testing or quality control roles.

  • Experience testing enterprise or mission-critical systems is an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong command of operating systems, including Unix/Linux flavors and Windows Server environments.

  • Good understanding of network technologies and communications.

  • Familiarity with database concepts and usage, such as Oracle DB, SQL Server, and SQL queries.

  • Knowledge of mobile technologies and platforms, including iOS and Android.

  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Zephyr, or similar testing suites.

  • Exposure to test automation tools or scripting languages is considered a strong plus.

  • Previous experience in Video Lottery Terminals (VLT) testing will be considered an asset.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, detailed, and actionable defect reports.
