ALCO Energy Solutions designs, fabricates, and assembles oil and gas processing equipment for the domestic and global market. Alco is seeking QC Inspector - Pressure Vessels to work within our production facility.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting to the Director, Quality Control, the successful candidate's duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Follow all applicable company policies and procedures.
  • Have a good to great knowledge Of ASME Codes and Standards related to Pressure Vessel Fabrication.
  • Have a good to great knowledge of ABSA forms, regulations and standards,
  • Ensure all Codes, Standards & regulations and project specifications are compliant.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and conform to ALCO manuals.
  • Sign off all quality control documents relating to projects.
  • Conduct daily inspection of all manufactured items.
  • Review and audit shop drawings.
  • Coordinate with Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) personnel or Subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) and sandblasting contractors.
  • Coordinate with Authorized Inspectors
  • Coordinate with Owner Inspectors
  • Ability to complete and good Knowledge of code required forms and documentation.
  • Ensure weld mapping and material traceability are performed.
  • Witness Hydrostatic Tests.
  • Follow project inspection & test plans (ITPs) and sign off as required for projects.
  • Support, participate in, and help drive the overall company safety program, safety awareness, and safety targets.
  • Maintenance of records and archiving (electronic and paper filed).
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting for long periods of time and stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Will be working in a variety of environments including office, shop.

Preferred Skills:

  • In this role, the successful candidates will have
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite (emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, & Excel), BlueBeam Revu, and other software systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • CSA Level II or III an asset.

Working Enviroment

  • You will work in a large manufacturing facility with other trades present
  • Longer than 10.0 hour work days may be required with short notice, must be available to work weekends when needed
  • Outside/inside work
  • Physically demanding position
