About the Role
:

As Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of the Strategic IT Master Plan. You'll engage and ensure alignment with goals, and coordinate assessments across IT infrastructure, ERP systems, cloud environments, and managed service providers. You'll act as the central point of accountability, driving modernization, innovation, and operational excellence.


Duties and responsibilities


Project Leadership & Governance

  • Develop and communicate project charters, work plans, stakeholder matrix, status report, calendars, resource schedule, budget and other reports.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including contractors, departments, and IT staff
  • Ensure alignment with modernization goals and strategic priorities


Contractor Oversight

  • Manage contractor onboarding, deliverables, and performance
  • Review and validate contractor responses to the Strategic IT Master Plan
  • Ensure quality and completeness of assessments and recommendations


Project Coordination

  • Oversee IT infrastructure and policy assessments
  • Facilitate ERP workflow reviews and optimization planning
  • Engage Subject Matter Expert (SME) to effectively transition projects from an idea through to development and implementation, ensuring that all project objectives
    and goals are clearly understood and met.
  • Proactively identify risks to the project schedule and find ways to mitigate them.


MSP & Cloud Strategy

  • Guide evaluation of current Managed Service Provider (MSP) performance
  • Support future-state modeling and strategic alignment with MarcViews Networks services.
  • Oversee cloud (Azure & AWS)environment assessment, governance, and optimization planning


Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership and board
  • Prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations
  • Manage risk, scope, and change control processes
  • Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.


Required Qualifications (Must Have)

  • 3+ years of project management experience, ideally in public sector IT
  • Proven success leading strategic IT modernization or ERP optimization projects
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and MSP models
  • Experience with transformational initiatives especially focusing on digital platforms like ERP platforms .
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Familiarity with public procurement, compliance, and governance frameworks


Preferred Attributes

  • A PMP designation or a Masters Certificate in Project Management is considered asset.
