People and Culture Generalist

The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive People and Culture Generalist to join our team. This role ensures our people have a seamless employee experience by serving as the first point of contact for People and Culture-related inquiries, managing the Helpdesk, overseeing benefits administration, and supporting the execution of programs and processes. This role works hybrid with 4 days a week in our downtown Toronto office.

What You'll Do

Employee Support

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding People and Culture-related inquiries
  • Manage and maintain the People and Culture Helpdesk system, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional resolution of employee requests

  • Support initiatives that enhance the employee experience and strengthen engagement.

  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, providing timely and accurate guidance.

HR Programs & Processes

  • Lead the full-cycle onboarding program to ensure a seamless and engaging induction experience
  • Partner with the People team to support performance review processes
  • Drive Capco Canada's Buddy Program, ensuring new hires receive effective peer support and integration
  • Engage with the HR team to implement, refine, and enhance HR policies, procedures, and tools
  • Assist in designing and implementing employee engagement and recognition programs.
  • Support action planning based on engagement and /or pulse survey results.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within HR processes and programs.

Benefits Administration

  • Oversee day-to-day benefits processes, including employee enrollment, changes, and inquiries
  • Liaise with benefits vendors to resolve escalated issues and ensure high-quality employee support

Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare, maintain, and analyze HR and recruitment reports to identify workforce trends and provide recommendations to support informed decision-making by management

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in HR operations, HR analysis, or employee support roles.
  • Strong understanding of HR programs, policies, and benefits administration.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in HRIS platforms – such as People Soft and Success Factors and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience managing People and Culture service delivery or case management systems.
  • Exposure to analytics and reporting tools.
  • Proven ability to streamline processes and improve employee experience.
  • Familiarity with Canadian employment legislation and benefits programs.
