Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing and Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely account reconciliation. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical skills, and excellent phone etiquette to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.

Responsibilities

- Process incoming payments and ensure accurate posting to customer accounts.

- Perform account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial records.

- Maintain detailed records of accounts receivable transactions and outstanding invoices.

- Communicate with clients regarding payment inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.

- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure seamless financial operations.

- Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.

- Analyze financial reports to identify trends and provide insights for improving cash flow.

- Assist in month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable activities.

Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role within the financial services industry.

- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks, is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.

- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for client interactions.

- Solid math skills for accurate calculations and data entry.

- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes is preferred.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
