Position DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to support our growing finance team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting and bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, with the ability to adapt quickly and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
As part of an 80/20-driven organization, the Accountant will play a key role in simplifying processes, focusing on high-impact activities, and supporting scalable financial operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Accounting
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the monthly close process.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and reporting.
- Monitor and reconcile AP/AR transactions and aging reports.
- Ensure timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Assist with vendor and customer account reconciliations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes using 80/20 principles.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation of new systems, tools, or procedures to enhance efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Experience working in Microsoft Excel with preferred proficiency using formulas, pivot tables, and advanced data analysis tools.
- Understanding of financial reporting, compliance, and budgeting processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain financial information
Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
