As we continue to grow we are looking to add an Assistant Key Account Manager in Hamilton, ON to the Scandi Family

You will be responsible for 2 locations.

Hours of work:

For this position, hours of work will be specifically tailored to specified sites and will be subject to change based on client needs. Hours noted below are intended as a guideline and may be subject to change, from time to time.

During events: Flexible hours including days, evenings, and nights based on event show times. Scheduling accommodation be determined through agreement between the Key Account Manager, Regional Director and/or Director of Operations.

During off peak: Off peak core hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with required flexibility to respond to the needs of the business which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday

What your day to day looks like:

Reporting into the Key Account Manager you will be taking care of the day to day operations of the accounts and sites that are in your designated portfolio.

  • Site Visits; Conducting site visits at locations within your region ensuring compliance with safety and customer service standards, Escalate any concerns regarding site inspections to the Key Account Manager
  • Customer Relationships; Act as the secondary point of contact for customer Senior Management, Build strong relationships with consistent and frequent communication
  • People Management; Provide written and verbal warnings as required for all staff, Communicate with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems; discuss and implement company policies and procedures
  • Financial Administration; Manage the monthly and annual budget

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 1-2 years in a previous Supervisor or Manager position
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and a good driving record with no major offenses
  • Demonstrated dependability with the ability to work flexible hours, and travel. Frequent overnight and weekend requirements, with flexibility during the day
  • Subject matter expert in commercial cleaning including, but not limited to: trash removal; dusting; cleaning restrooms, break rooms, offices, conference rooms; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; window washing; buffing floors; stripping and waxing floors; stone care; carpet cleaning; carpet spotting; upholstery cleaning
  • General understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and profitability
  • Strong delegation skills with the ability to manage multiple large teams
  • Excellent customer relations and problem-solving skills

Additional Job Details:

  • Must be available 24/7 in case of emergency or client needs
  • iPad, Cell Phone and Computer provided
  • Company vehicle and fuel card provided

Our interview process:

  • 20 minute preliminary phone interview with our Recruiter
  • 20-40 minute to an hour assessment (depending on optional practice questions or breaks).
  • 30 minute MS Teams video interview with the Hiring Manager and direct Supervisor for the role
