Overview

We are seeking a professional and organized Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with office software, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with a tax office is highly desirable.

Duties

  • Greet visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries appropriately
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Perform data entry with accuracy, including updating patient or client records
  • Handle filing, document organization, and record keeping to ensure office efficiency
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and preparing reports
  • Support bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks or similar software when necessary
  • Provide customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a welcoming environment

Requirements

  • Proven clerical or administrative experience, preferably in a medical or dental office setting
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and data entry
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and excellent phone etiquette
  • Ability to handle filing systems efficiently and accurately manage documentation
  • Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and proofreading abilities
  • Ability to type quickly and accurately for various administrative tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks or bookkeeping experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in medical or dental offices is preferred but not mandatory
  • Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment

Job Type: Fixed term contract

Contract length: 12 weeks

Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week

Work Location: In person
