Position Overview:

We are seeking a versatile, self-motivated cook who can work independently for a seasonal contract role. This position begins immediately and runs until mid- May. Hours are flexible, with part-time options available from 25 to 40 hours per week. You'll be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to a consistently high standard, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and occasionally washing dishes. A suitably motivated and creative individual will have the opportunity to become involved in shaping menu and process development with the head chef. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
  • Wash dishes and perform other cleaning duties as required.
  • Assist in stock management, including checking inventory and notifying of low stock.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or similar culinary environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consistent food quality of the highest standard.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A personal vehicle for reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, catering events and menus.
