Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other food items.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared safely and stored correctly.
  • Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
  • Support the team during peak hours by ensuring efficient workflow in the kitchen.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
