The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is a German political foundation committed to fostering democracy, the rule of law, and international cooperation. KAS Canada works with partners across the country to promote dialogue on transatlantic relations, democratic governance, climate policy, and emerging global challenges. Our office of Canada was set up in 2019, in the capital of Ottawa.

We are currently seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative Office Administrator to join our Ottawa office.
Position Overview
As the Office Administrator, you will support the KAS Canada team in all administrative, and operational functions. Your key role is to ensure the smooth execution of the foundation's programs, compliance with both Canadian and German administrative requirements, and the financial sustainability of our work in Canada.

You'll be able to monitor and work on international projects and liaise with other Canadian NGOs/embassies
Responsibilities:
Assist with daily activities, including but not limited to accounting, secretarial, administrative and project management tasks
Assist with internal financial reports, including but not limited to the monthly financial statements for internal and external reporting to the team
Liaise with KAS Headquarters in Germany and with Canadian authorities
Using KAS's internal system for accounting and general administration;
Help with travel booking, logistics, meeting organization and event management in general,
Help with communications, outreach and social media when necessary,
Conceptual, organizational and administrative preparation, implementation and post-processing of KAS activities in Canada;
Support the Director and team in creating projects with partners and liaise with them
Qualifications:
High School or graduate diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Event Management or a related field
Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a non-profit, or international context
Strong understanding of administrative tasks
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Initiative taker and quick learner
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a bilingual/multicultural environment
Proficiency in English and German is required, French is an asset
Preference will be given to a German speaker
