About the team:

This role is responsible for the implementation of ASX PMO processes and policies. Directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organisation goals and requirements.  Works with other business leaders to define, prioritise, and develop projects and programs.  Creates strategies and specific objectives/outcomes for the business and develops budgets/procedures to support the project/program achieve business outcomes.

  • You are a practitioner/team member of the Project Management Capability Community of Practice (CoP).

  • Lead the adoption and adherence of EPMO Governance, reporting and tools that enable the integrated ASX delivery model.

  • Creation of performance dashboards and monitor KPIs that inform portfolio / program decision making eg risk, financial, benefits, schedules, resourcing

  • Provide the capacity for training and facilitating skills to drive transformation activities and ensure long term adoption.

  • Understands business strategy and provides optimal portfolio value. This includes documenting all key decisions and action items.

  • Own the logistics plan for stage-gate decision process and core team meetings.

  • Ensure functional area deliverables are understood, cross-functionally aligned, execution of deliverables and timelines are on track.

  • Partner with the EPMO to facilitate an effective, governance process to enable project/portfolio status and health.

  • Leads project quality and assurance to mitigate and address project delivery challenges in the support of continuous improvement efforts.

  • Be responsible for a team of Project Office resources and capabilities (reporting, governance, financial, risk etc) including the attraction, onboarding and retention of the best talent to deliver against strategy and drive innovation.  Provide training, mentoring and coaching to ensure the right skills and people in the right roles to deliver the services required.

  • Prepares regular, thorough and articulate executive summaries for senior leadership on project and team performance.

  • Ensures adherence to ASX Delivery Framework practices, procedures, precedents, policy and Executive Leadership direction.

  • Work with the PM Capability Practice Lead to address framework deficiencies, coach and upskill Project Officers and Project / Program Managers / Program Directors, address development opportunities and aligning skill sets to the core competency requirements of the role.

  • Being an active member of the PM Community of Practice (CoP).

What you will bring:

Must have

  • Bachelor's degree in science, business or related filed, required.

  • 10+ years' experience in new product development and project management required.

  • Exceptional influencing and team development skills.

  • Proficient in Project Management Software.

  • Ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Superior organizational skills - must be able to manage multiple projects with high priority.

  • The ability to work/lead others through aggressive challenges, obstacles, deadlines and changes is required.

  • Bring a deep background in Portfolio, Program and Project management.

  • Ability to direct root cause analysis on issues encountered during project delivery and devise course correction and 'get to green' plans.

  • Focuses on customers and clients, business/financial acumen.

Nice to have:        

  • Certification in Project Management is highly preferred.

  • Be comfortable working within a matrix structure.

  • Worked on Agile, Lean and Waterfall projects.

  • Experience using Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Agile, and Confluence).

  • Experience using PPM tool i.e., ServiceNow
