We are seeking a highly capable Senior IT Business Analyst to join our Energy Retail Systems team. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Energy Retail Systems, you will play a key role as the interface between IT and the Energy Retail business, ensuring the delivery of fit‑for‑purpose technology solutions.
You'll work across multiple concurrent initiatives, translating business needs into scalable, practical solutions that deliver meaningful business value. This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment and is comfortable navigating ambiguity. Some travel to other offices and operational sites may be required.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify problems, define value opportunities, and shape solution direction.
- Analyse business needs, map current and future processes, and document clear user and system requirements.
- Assess solution options, support business case development, and present recommendations to Executives and Project Sponsors.
- Coordinate and support multiple initiatives throughout the project lifecycle to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Develop operational support models across IT, business and vendors.
- Support business transition activities such as workshops, UAT, training, playback sessions, and creation of user guidance materials.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities across the business.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure solutions deliver intended benefits.
- Work flexibly to support broader IT functions when required.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years' experience in Business Analysis, project delivery and process optimisation.
- Experience working in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments (e.g., start‑ups, scale‑ups, private equity).
- Strong understanding of the SDLC and experience implementing a BA Operating Model.
- Demonstrated ability to produce business cases, process maps and process flows.
- Experience using requirements prioritisation frameworks (e.g., MoSCoW).
- Proficiency in Visio, LucidChart or similar business process mapping tools.
- Experience with ERP, CRM or other enterprise‑wide solution implementations; energy sector experience is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Highly collaborative, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and identifying opportunities for value creation.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- BA, Agile or Project Management certifications are an advantage.
