The Data & Reporting Analyst plays a critical role in delivering actionable insights and accurate AR Aging reports that directly influence strategic decisions and process enhancements. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Managers and team members to analyze AR Aging data, monitor key performance indicators, and track operational metrics, ensuring precision in financial reporting. You will also take ownership of conducting in-depth analyses, identifying root causes of data anomalies, and recommending solutions to resolve issues. Ultimately, your efforts will provide clearer visibility into the performance and health of key CFS functions, including Credit Assessment, Collections, Cash Allocation, and AR Maintenance.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)

REPORTING

  • Administer and maintain SQL and GQL databases to ensure data integrity and availability.

Perform data uploads, run queries, and maintain existing tables while developing new ones as needed.

Optimize SQL and GQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

  • Obtain and combine data from ERP, Operations and billing systems Access, Excel, and SQL sources to support reporting requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and timely distribute regular reports to stakeholders (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).
  • Create and maintain ad-hoc analysis and reporting support for strategic initiatives and operational decisions in order to optimize AR management and collections efforts.
  • Work with Management Team to identify reporting requirements , improve data accuracy, automate reporting processes where applicable, and develop new reporting and analytics capabilities to support the business.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
  • Provide training and support to staff on reporting tools and processes.
  • Maintain documentation for data sources, queries, and reporting processes.

ANALYTICS

  • Assist in analyzing trends in accounts receivable, such as payment patterns, and past due accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, summaries, and visualizations for finance leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Create business intelligence reporting tools developed jointly with partners that have an impact to AR aging, cost reduction, risk reduction, or productivity gains.

PROJECT SUPPORT

  • Work with IT and Project teams to assist in developing requirements for data / system changes and enhancements. Ensure integrity of data migration as required.
  • Actively participate in the Systems / User Acceptance Testing for the launch of new products / lines of business and/or cross-functional projects that have a significant impact on customer invoicing and payments, AR Aging and management of customer accounts.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas and data visualization).
  • Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik and Power BI.
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge of SQL, MS ACCESS.
  • Strong analytical skills with an operational focus, especially on accounts receivable metrics and trends.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, reliable reports under strict timelines.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to provide data-driven insights to non-technical finance and management stakeholders.
  • Desire to learn and grow in the field of Business Intelligence, data analytics.

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM REQUIRED

  • 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence functions including data analysis, operational/financial reporting.
  • Accounts Receivable and/or Collections experience is an asset.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field
  • Certificate on Business Intelligence/ Data Analytics / Reporting /
