Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in detailed carpentry work, including trim, cabinetry, and finishing touches that enhance the aesthetic and functional quality of residential and commercial projects. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to deliver high-quality finishes on time and within specifications.

Duties

  • Install trim, molding, cabinetry, doors, and fixtures with attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, and fabricate wood and other materials using hand tools and power tools.
  • Perform framing tasks such as metal stud framing or wood framing as needed for finishing projects.
  • Apply caulking, plastering, stucco, or other surface treatments to achieve desired finishes.
  • Assist with restoration projects including water damage remediation, mold remediation, or structural repairs.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure seamless project flow.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety standards on construction sites.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in construction estimating, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or related fields.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as CNC machines.
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with various construction disciplines including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, siding, drywall installation (including metal stud framing), and fixture installation.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of the restoration industry including water damage restoration and mold remediation is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the use of scaffolding or working at heights may be required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
  • Prior experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols is essential. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring expert carpentry skills in a dynamic environment dedicated to quality construction and restoration work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
